- ABS
is a newer material for use in pipework installations. It's chemical
resistance properties differ to PVC, but is has good resistance
to environmental stress cracking. A major plus for the material
is it's suitability for use at low temperatures (-40 deg C) and
it's ease of jointing by solvent cementing. It is also very lightweight
and has the same smooth bore characteristics as PVC.

temperature range -40 to 80 deg C (max working pressures reduce
at temperatures above 20 deg C).
